Use

Duplex stainless steel surfacing materials are typically used for the second and subsequent layers of surfacing. For transition-layer surfacing, AT-D309MoL surfacing wire and matching flux may be employed, or they may be omitted.

Martensitic stainless steel surfacing results in a weld bead with high surface hardness and excellent appearance.

After surfacing on carbon steel, the composition of the surfacing metal is approximately Cy13; when D410 is used for surfacing, it serves as a transition layer.

Super-austenitic stainless steel surfacing material, used for submerged-arc surfacing of the inner walls of pressure vessels such as petrochemical equipment and heat exchangers (first and second layers).

Used for submerged-arc surfacing of linings in pressure vessels such as heat exchangers, or as filter layers on tube sheets.

It is used as the corrosion-resistant layer (second layer and above) for pressure vessel equipment such as urea synthesis towers, vaporizers, and heat exchangers in submerged-arc surfacing.
