　　 San Ying Welding: A Breakthrough Player in China’s Flux-Cored Wire Industry and the Backbone of a National Brand   
　　The brand history of San Ying Welding began with the early explorations initiated in 1958 by Professor Zhang Wenyue and others at the Welding Laboratory of Tianjin University, laying a solid academic foundation.

　　 The brand’s technological foundation and origin:   
　　In July 1992, the “Complete Production Technology for Flux-Cored Wires” was officially approved by the Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Commission, marking the launch of systematic R&D at the national level.
　　In August 1994, the pilot production line for the project was successfully developed and passed municipal-level appraisal.
　　On the 9th of the same month, Tianjin Sanying Welding Co., Ltd. was officially registered and established. As a model for the integration of industry, academia, and research, it is not only the first specialized flux-cored wire manufacturer in China but also a national brand supported entirely by domestically developed technologies and equipment.

　　 Breaking Through and Rising of the Brand:   
　　In 1994, the brand’s first product—the 1.2mm fine-diameter titanium-coated flux-cored welding wire—obtained certification from the China Classification Society and was successfully tested at the Tianjin Xingang Shipyard. This marked the end of the era when imported flux-cored welding wires had enjoyed a monopoly.
　　In September 1995, rather than investing heavily in importing foreign production lines like its peers, the brand relied on independent innovation and successfully developed China’s first industrial-scale flux-cored wire production line—and a complete set of auxiliary equipment— at a cost of less than 3 million yuan. The line’s capabilities and precision reached internationally advanced levels, paving the way for a uniquely distinctive path of independent development.
　　In 1996, its flagship product, SQJ501, was the first to obtain certification from classification societies in ten countries, including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Norway, Japan, South Korea, Italy, and Vietnam. That same year, it was awarded China’s first “National New Product” certificate for flux-cored welding wires, earning dual recognition—both domestically and internationally—from authoritative bodies for its brand’s technological strength.

　　 Brand Expansion and Leadership:   
　　San Ying Welding Industry is not only a manufacturer of products but also an exporter of equipment. Its independently developed high-precision electronic powder-mixing stations, series of forming machines, wire-drawing machines, and fully automated packaging lines are not only used internally but have also been installed in more than ten domestic factories. Moreover, these products have been successfully exported to internationally renowned welding material companies such as Sweden’s ESAB, marking a historic shift for China—from importing to exporting flux-cored wire equipment.
