Based on the Metal Welding Research Laboratory of the former Metallurgical Industry Ministry’s Institute of Iron and Steel Research, Antai Technology Co., Ltd. established a Welding Materials Division.
1994
Tianjin Sanying Welding Industry Co., Ltd. Established
A pilot production line for flux-cored wires has been successfully developed, enabling the continuous production of 1.2mm-diameter fine-gauge flux-cored wires.
The first batch of titanium-based flux-cored welding wires developed and produced has passed the bulk product certification by the China Classification Society. This marks the first time that a domestically-owned enterprise’s flux-cored welding wire product has officially obtained certification from a classification society in China.
1980s
The laboratory has undertaken numerous national key projects in areas such as hydrogenation and nuclear power, making significant contributions to critical technologies including the nation’s first-of-its-kind refining and chemical equipment, primary welds for nuclear power plants, stainless steel overlay welding, and nickel-based materials. The laboratory has also achieved remarkable results in fields such as aerospace, supporting the independent development of China’s major national equipment.
1980s
Tianjin University has established the Welding Research Institute to systematically conduct research on a comprehensive set of technologies and equipment for the production of flux-cored wires.
1952
The Institute of Iron and Steel Research was established, and the Metal Welding Laboratory was set up.
